Web Hosting Operating Systems Explained

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 12:05 am

A few time ago appeared a lot disagreements between opinions on the internet regarding, which is the best operating system for web hosting. There are people who hate windows, there are people who love FreeBSD and many others.

The thing is that the best system that suits you depends on what you are doing. The servers and the softwares, all run on a program named operating system. on a personal computer you will probably have windows ME, XP, NT or something similar to those. You can call this program the operating system. Any hosting server also needs running on an operating system. There are 3 different versions.

The first one powered by Microsoft is Windows. So, Microsoft also makes a system designed for servers. Microsoft products can trill integrate in this operating systems. It also allows web sites to run Active Server Pages. The Microsoft servers also allow the integration of SQL databases. The only problem of the Microsof web hosting servers is that they are very expensive. You will probably find one that costs several thousands of dollars.

The second version for web hosting servers is Linux. Linux was created and developed by some individuals who wrote the main part of the Linux operating system. After that, there were added some other parts to customize the operating system for the particular use of any user. There are many companies that market Linux, like Red Hat, Debian. The main advantage of Linux is that is compatible with PHP. Also it’s very stable and has a great security. The best thing about it is that Linux is free.

The third version of operating system for web hosting servers is Unix. Unix is almost the same thing as Linux. If we think more, we will find more similarities than differences between the two programs. The most important difference is the way they came to the world. So let’s make it clear. Linux is something like a cousin of Unix. There are two main Unix-based operating systems: FreeBSD and OpenBSD. The good thing about this systems is that they seem to be very stable once you manage to install them. But they are very hard to install. OpenBSD is also known to be one of the most secure operating system in the world. But with OpenBSd you will have to sacrifice some features for a plus of security. Again the best thing about these systems is that they are both free.

The best for you depends on what you are going to do with it. If you want great security, you should try OpenBSd. If you are looking for compatibility with all the windows products, then choose Windows. For compatibility with PHP programing language choose Linux. The fact is that one cannot tell which system is best, but employing and using it according to his needs.

4 Ways to Fight Pessimism

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 3:10 am

Some people are naturally pessimistic and are happy being so. They view themselves as pragmatic and as having a better sense of reality. Then there are those of us who feel weighed down by negativity and wish that we could be more optimistic. This is completely possible. It all lies in the way we perceive things…

1. Stress management

When we conceal our anxieties, they only build. Each concern can snowball into a feeling of being overwhelmed. Each person has their own way of letting off steam. This varies from exercise, to listening to music, to reading a good book. More of us are beginning to realize how important proper stress management is to both our physical and mental health.

2. Constant reality checks

It is sometimes necessary to debate the validity of your concerns to determine whether they are rational or not. This is called self-rationalization and one of the most recognized methods is the worst case scenario. This is when you consider the worst possible situation, then go on to consider whether it is likely to happen. For example, a loved one said they would call once they arrived by subway to a certain destination. They should have reached that destination 15 minutes ago. You may dream up scenarios of there being a train accident or some other frightful incident took place. But after a little thought, you find that it’s more probable that they either have yet to reach their stop or they will simply call you when it is convenient for them. You never want to leap to conclusions and cause yourself unnecessary stress.

3. Support of friends and family

Friends and family are usually more than willing to provide you with a much needed reality check. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have close friends and family members to confide in though. It is detrimental to find some type of support when you are feeling extremely confused or overwhelmed. This support may have to come from a trusted co-worker or a member of a support group. Sometimes all it takes is another person’s point of view to put things into perspective.

4. Own your feelings

Accept that you have complete control over your perceptions and internal responses. You may not have control over what happened on your commute to work that upset you. But you are able to decide whether you become relieved when the day is finally over, or frustrated, claiming you are always being dealt a bad hand.

Unlocking the Power of Your Website!

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 7:48 pm

Why do some web sites reap huge benefits while others just get lost in the shuffle? Do some web masters have a secret that most of us have overlooked? Actually, there is a secret to unlocking the power of your web site and it has to do with words. When communicating via the web, words truly make all the difference. And the only way to get the most out of your website is carefully choosing what you have to say and how you say it.

Is There a Difference When Writing for the Internet?

As a writer for a multitude of projects, I’ve noticed one very important distinction when writing for the Internet. That distinction boils down to less verbiage with more impact. What that means to you is making sure each word counts. Because people scan verbiage on the web it’s important to use words sparingly but they must be words that have power. Why? Because behind every well-written message, you should hear: “I have something that you want or need and you can hardly wait to get it.” Consequently, to get it right, you have to use words effectively.

Content is King!

People pay a fortune to have beautiful sites created yet they neglect the content! Without good content, all is lost. And although you have the freedom to place as much information on a web site as you choose, reader’s want information quickly therefore each word must be well thought out. Material that is too wordy may act as a deterrent. So bear in mind that “Content is King!” You may have the most beautiful site ever created but without excellent content your site will not be successful. When all is said and done, to motivate potential clients to take action, your message must be transmitted in such a way as to convey professionalism, sincerity and credibility.

Tips for Effective Web-Based Documents!

Consider your web-based document as though it were an advertisement because that’s exactly what it is. And good commercial advertisements often take creative license. While the sentence structure may not always be perfect, the verbiage must be creative, interesting and appealing to the ear and eye. As you prepare to put your site online, the following few points should be considered:

1) Writing is subjective which means some people will love what you have to say while others are just waiting around for an opportunity to criticize. Be concerned only with getting your intended audience to hear and appreciate what you have to say.

2) For web site writing, less is more. The attention span of most visitors is limited so make it easy and quick for visitors to find what they want. To have impact, web content should have about half of the word count of its paper equivalent.

3) No one specific web site will meet the needs or the appetites of everyone, therefore you’d be wise to choose a specific target audience and focus your attention on that group of individuals.

4) Share your information in a way that presents your product in an exciting, innovative way. If your copy is ho-hum, you’ll lose the reader before they begin.

5) Nothing on the web is static which means change is both common and necessary. Therefore, be willing to progress by changing the content on your site periodically. If you prefer not changing the content, add a newsletter or an article.

6) Make sure that somewhere in your copy, you encourage readers to take action. If you want your audience to contact you, include easily found contact information. If you want them to use your services, make it easy to buy or inquire.

7) Instill passion and enthusiasm in your copy. If you’re not excited, how can you expect someone else to feel excited about your product?

8) Make your site easy to scan. Since most web readers scan pages rather than reading through word-by-word, highlight the important points by using headings and bulleted points for emphasis. Make it easy to go from page to page.

To unlock the power of your web site, keep in mind that you may have a magnificent site but without excellent content your site will have little impact on the web. Sites created with over the top presentations, often neglect or ignore the copy. In truth all that showy, glitzy stuff will be of very little consequence without meaningful content. People may be impressed for a moment with flamboyant graphics but when all is said and done, they are primarily interested in an easy to read, beneficial site that offers something of value.

The Art of Scripting Your Life

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 10:10 am

Writing a ‘life script’ is like writing a movie script. You need
to create a feeling, evoke emotional responses and create the
scenarios. You dream up the story, you write the lines and act it
out. Why? Because you have the ability to create your life as you
would like it to be. So many people live their life with the
concept that they play whatever hand is dealt them. This can feel
un-empowering, depressing and instill feelings of resignation and
pain. You have so much more to do with your life plan than you
realize.

What is a life script? It is the written version of the story
about your WANTS that is so vivid and real that you can
see/feel/taste/touch it as you think about it and write it. In
other words, it’s the written story of your life as you desire it
to be.

What is the purpose? Scripting your life gives your life
direction, meaning and purpose. Scripting bring pure positive
energy to that which you desire. It is the act of co-creating
with a Higher Power.

We aren’t here to just live our lives according to fate and
putting out one fire after another. We have the ability and
inherent power to create the life we choose. It’s like putting
your order in to the Universe. If you go to a restaurant you
don’t eat whatever they decide to bring you- you place your
order! This process is very similar. It follows the principle of
“Energy follows Thought.”

If you give enough of your thoughts and attention to a particular
set of circumstances or outcome, then the energy fuels that
creative form.

By writing the script the way we choose, we create our life as we
want it. It takes conscious focus, intention and attention
however. Just writing a script isn’t enough. You need to read it
every day, think about it, feel yourself living it everyday… and
feel passionate about it! The more you can feel yourself living
the new role, the more the energy creates it in your life. Your
Life Script becomes your everyday intention to create
extraordinary results in your life.

It sounds complicated, but it’s very simple. Perhaps the most
challenging part is making the daily commitment to know that you
are already living your new life script. This process involves
determination, attention to detail and feeling the feelings.
Feeling how it feels to move forward and live your life in a new
way is powerful and exciting.

You have all the tools you need to create your life the way you
want it to be. So why not take the initiative and step into your
new role as co-creator?

Why ‘co-creator’? Because you partner WITH the Universe to create
the new life you want. No longer are you just living whatever is
handed to you as a child of the Universe. You step into an adult
role, taking new levels of responsibility for your life. You
become the writer. You are no longer just the actor taking
directions from the Director; you begin to create the direction
yourself!

This is truly an exercise in self empowerment. Taking the leap to
create your future is how you step into your full potential.

Reseller Web Hosting - A Cheaper Alternative?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 8:05 pm

There comes a time when the internet bug hits us all and we tend
to acquire a wealth of domain names and web sites to feed our
frenzy.

We start out with the best intentions, set up a personal home
page with a few details about ourselves, then create more for our
family, then our business and before we know it we have several
domain names and web sites spread across several web hosting
companies.

A more convenient approach would be to set yourself up with a
reseller account with one hosting company.

Most people assume that to have a reseller account, you need to
be in the business of selling hosting. This is not true. Anyone
can set up a reseller account and enjoy the benefits of saving
money and also having the convenience of only dealing with one
company for all your hosting needs.

I’ll take my hosting reseller http://www.HostingRevolution.com as
an example. They provide a very competitive reseller account
priced at $35. Their Reseller’s Package allows you to host 100
Domains. You are allowed to give every Domain you host up to
20GB’s of monthly transfer and up to 2.5GB of storage.

Previously I had over ten domain names and associated web sites
that were costing me around $5 - $10 a month to host. The average
months hosting costs were around $50 - $60. Therefore, by setting
up a reseller account and transferring my domains and web sites
over to my reseller account I made an instant saving of $15 a
month.

Now, another extension of this would be to start selling hosting
to your friends, after all, you have a reseller account. So if
you have ten friends, ask them if they would like web hosting on
your server, maybe offer it free to them and ask them to
recommend your services to their friends, these can then become
“paying” customers. Now YOU can get people to pay for hosting and
make back the monthly reseller fee. Just sell ten accounts for $3
a month and you have instant income of $30 to offset the $35
reseller fee you are paying. So you get hosting for $5 a month
for as many domains and sites as you like.

So, with the reseller account you have helped yourself, helped
your friends, and possibly started making money as well.

Sheds Don’t Have to Be Too Overpriced when You Purchase on the Internet and Take Advantage of the Gigantic Selection

Filed under: Gardening Stuff, Home Improvement Info, Recreation Stuff — admin @ 6:10 pm

There are a great deal of logical reasons why you might want a garden shed and luckily there are garden sheds to match just about every last need. Garden sheds may be bought just about everywhere but what you will discover is the price will change enormously. You shouldn’t have to forego the shed you desire because it is excessively pricey though. A shed is something you purchase once and utilize for years and if you take a look on the net you can find cheap garden sheds at some silly prices. I do not mean cheap and silly as in quality but as in price. You’ll find you can find the shed you need for the cost of the one you were about to settle for very much cheaper and if you possess a garden that you tend to every day you will most likely want to look into a wooden shed as a place to put the water hose, fertilizer and tools etc..

Protecting your tools and making them easily available is a very good idea. You can find garden sheds on-line that are the very same sheds you’d buy in the store. In fact, you can even go to the store and shop even spot them to find out if it is what you need then you can go online and purchase it for a whole lot less. The difference in price is significant!

Learn about the Frightening Condition that Is Hair Loss in Blokes

Filed under: Health Parlor, Medical Parlor — admin @ 12:03 pm

The most typical sort of hair loss is a continuing hair diminishing condition labelled androgenic alopecia more regularly referred to as male pattern baldness that crops up in grown-up male humans & other sorts of animals. If you looking to replace your hair without surgery, pain or scarring, then Strand by Strand is for you!

In addition, pattern hair loss is also inherent, and the genetic material is passed to an infant from either parent, and not just the mother, as had been formally thought. Pattern hair loss in males is the most worldwide style of hair loss, & usually as a rule means a reducing hairline & baldness on the summit of the cranium. The main cause of baldness in guys is dihydrotestosterone, or DHT for short, a consequence of the male hormone testosterone. Another cause of hair loss in men is hairstyle.

Hair loss is not simply a human characteristics. Baldness is a state of play where there is no hair in the region where it forms, naturally this is on the skull & happens in both human beings and wildlife. Male hair loss, male pattern baldness or androgenic alopecia, is an hereditary state which produces male baldness or considerable male hair loss in more or less 66% of all men.

Moving to Virtual Dedicated Hosting

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 8:16 am

Most webmasters on the net today are familiar with what the industry calls “shared” web hosting accounts. A shared hosting account is where you rent a small amount of space on a server which is shared among many other users.

This is a cheap way to get started online but it has many disadvantages - you will encounter email delivery problems because of spam complaints against other sites on the same server. You will find your site’s grinding to a halt when someone else does some heavy database work on your server. You might even find your site going down because of a denial of service attack against someone else hosting hacking or piracy related material on your server (these type of sites attract antisocial elements!)

How can you avoid all of this drama?

By upgrading to a virtual dedicated server. A virtual dedicated server lets you run your sites as if you had your own “dedicated” server, except it is cheaper because you are really just using part of a server that has been split into multiple virtual dedicated servers.

You can find out more about this by searching Google for “virtual dedicated hosting”. Virtuozzo is the main commercial software that web hosts use to run virtual hosting services.

You will find virtual dedicated server accounts starting at just $30 a month. You’ll get a much larger chunk of bandwidth compared to shared hosting, and none of the problems that go with a shared host. You can also get multiple IP addresses that are exclusive to your sites.

So what’s the catch? Not much. You’ll probably spend a bit more on hosting each month. The main disadvantage of upgrading to virtual dedicated hosting is that you will need to be more technically proficient so that you can administer the server.

This requires a bit of time learning the necessary Linux skills to make sure your server runs smoothly.

Many hosting providers will have a “premium” support offering that includes a bit more hand holding - this is definitely recommended if you don’t have much experience with Linux, or are new to virtual dedicated hosting.

With the increased speed and bandwidth that a virtual dedicated host offers, and none of the shared hosting headaches, the move is one you will never regret. So, the question now becomes, are to ready and willing to take-on the challenge of virtual dedicated web hosting and save yourself some hard earned cash? The choice is yours…

sufficient for your site to function. Don’t worry I am
here to help you choose the best hosting company package
available for your requirements. I will tell you how to
calculate and the magic works for you and the end result will be
exactly the same you are looking for which is cheap for your
budget and best in terms of services.

All you need to gather some information; it would be easy if you
already have a site if don’t have a website and planning
to start worry don’t worry http://www.hostfinders.org
team is hear to help you.

Those who already own the site kindly see your traffic history
of website you will find most of this information is available
there.

Don’t have an existing site, provide an optimistic
estimate if you intend to heavily promote the site. Then get
ready for some math.

Find out the daily averages of:

• Number of visitors / expected number of visitors

• Page size including the graphics of the page

• Page views / expected pages viewed by each visitor

Then, multiply them as follows:

Visitors x Page size x Page views x 30 days = Monthly Website
Transfer

This is easy few calculations and you find the answer which
hosting package suits your needs.

You should also throw in a small margin or error there to take
into account email traffic and your own uploads to the server.
If you offer downloads, then you should add the following:

Average/Expected downloads x File Size x 30 days = Monthly
Download Transfer

To help you from hassle as there are a lot of companies that
promise good services, few I personally recommends are:
