Spirituality: Letting Go Of A Hostile Unsupportive Reality

Filed under: Misc. — admin @ 5:00 am

Each morning that you wake what is the first thing that pops into your mind? Well you may not actually be consciously aware of it although all of your thoughts and behaviors are driven by it. What is it you ask?

Well it’s the question; “How am I going to survive another day in this reality?”

Yes I know that may sound strange to you but stop for a moment and look at it closely.

All of these lists that you make, all of the plans that you form, all of the appointments in your daytimer, all of the things that you are going to do today; all of these are essentially about helping you to survive here in this reality, are they not?

So all of your vital life energy is geared to your survival and the task of trying to survive is not an easy one, is it? In fact it places great demands on your energy and taxes it quite severely. So much so that it eventually winds up killing you in the end.

In other words your efforts to survive here in this reality ultimately lead to naught because everyone dies here, correct?

In spite of all of this many people here continue to justify the reality that we live in as being acceptable.

Well I know that now you might say “Well what choice do we have anyway?”

Well that’s might point exactly! You see you likely never ask whether we have a choice in the type of reality that we all choose to live in do you, perhaps until now that is?

Does it ever seem strange to you that we, or at least most of us agree to drive on the right side of the road, or that we agree that the dollar bills that we spend have value, or that all of the other so-called rules that govern our reality remain intact?

Who chose these rules? Why these ones? Why not others that would ultimately cause a very different reality to unfold?

You see we have become so accustomed to the “survival game” that was some how “set up” for us here that we never stop to ask ourselves if there is another more desirable way.

Part of the reason is that many of us have heavily invested our time and our life energy into this reality that we are reluctant to let it go. Do you know what I’m talking about?

Now by “letting go” I’m not referring to, as some of you might think, to quit living. Quite the contrary!

I would say that “not living” is what we are doing right now in this reality..

I’m suggesting that we could begin to contemplate a reality in which we could really “live”!

By live I mean the following: to feel care free, at peace, joyful, contented, eternally youthful, loving to self and others, eternally in abundance, free, able to create what ever we wish whenever we wish, living in integrity, confident, feel light and unburdened, and fearless to name a few.

Does that appeal to you? If so, just put aside any doubts that this is possible, just for a moment, place your hand over your heart and make a statement of desire to yourself requesting such a reality to come into being.

Then notice how you feel inside.

Now just a word about those doubts. They originate from beliefs that prevent you and others from manifesting this new reality. Indeed all of your beliefs create the reality within which you choose to live.

It is possible now, with a new modality called the Mind Resonance Process(TM) (MRP), that I have written extensively about here, to permanently “let go” of all of these and to start afresh, creating a reality where “you” really want to be.

Do you have the courage to help your brothers and sisters create a new and bright future for all of us?

When you look around you at this reality do you really have a choice?

To learn more about MRP and the project to manifest a new reality kindly visit the web link below.

Thank you for your time and energy.

A a huge number of brand new telephone number enquiries firms have grasped the chance to take a slice of a potentially moneymaking trade, paying lots of pounds on an advertising slot which is going to come no where near to being as victorious as 118 118.

The 118 118 company telephone numbers is the best directories enquiry service offering in the U.K. Every week they link up lots of their customers through to people, places and companies 118118 were looking for, due to the result of this 118118.com is currently the most frequently called telephone number in the Great Britain

Reports now signal that the UK’s Directory Enquiries market is the most vast of Europe. 118.com offer a wide range of services inc. the standard that is the phone directories service and then other added products such as film listings and places, train time tables and train and tube locations. If you should be looking for cinema times, train times, or telephone numbers, give 118.com a try.

The 118118 telephone number remains the single UK 118 provider to sell a wholly free telephone telephone company aimed at customers from across every one of the major landline networks. From the 18th March 2008, 118118 business is pleased to declare its business changes. Now 0800118FREE this offering is free from BT and major non mobile networks. Prices from mobile networks may vary. 118811 is at present 40 p per minute and 118118.com is 69 p per call, 25 pence per minute, which is a massive improvement considering that it used to be greater than one pound.

A Tiny Way to Play Something Huge: The Nanotech Promise

A Tiny Way to Play Something Huge: The Nanotech Promise

By Michael Brush January 26, 2006

Few “new” technologies have stirred as much controversy as
nanotechnology - the science of how to exploit behavioral quirks
that develop in materials when you smash them up into really
tiny particles.

Coming onto the investment scene as a theme a few years ago
(http://moneycentral.msn.com/content/P63642.asp), nanotechnology
holds the promise of breakthroughs like powerful mini-computers,
new families of drugs and diagnostic tools that can detect
diseases early on, say proponents.

Detractors claim much of nanotech is plain old fraud - or at
best nothing more than the latest trendy investment rubric that
unscrupulous managers try to fit their companies into, as a way
to generate buzz and attract funding.

A fraud?

Few critics have been as vocal as short-seller Manuel Asensio
who has maintained a scathing campaign against at least one
company seeking the nanotech mantel, NVE (NVEC). It should be no
surprise, of course, that Asensio has had a short position in
the stock - or a kind of bet that the stock will go down.

“NVEC still hunting for illiterate investors,” was the headline
on a December missive from Asensio maintaining that NVE recently
announced it had been awarded a research grant but failed to
mention in the press release that it was for the minimal amount
of $190,000. Other Asensio assaults have carried biting
headlines like “Is NVEC a fraud?”

Since I started following Asensio’s attacks on NVE in late 2004,
the company’s stock has declined over 50% to trade recently for
around $16. The sharp decline underscores how easy it is to lose
a lot of money investing in a single play billed as an easy ride
on a hot technology.

In other words, investors really face two problems when looking
for a way to play nanotech. First, they’d be dumb to ignore it,
because many people will ultimately find ways to make a lot of
money with nanotech. Second, however, there are no nanotech
mutual funds. And buying a basket of these companies on your own
can tie up a big part of your capital.

A small way to something big

Fortunately, insiders have recently been showing the way to an
alternative that takes care of both these problems. Around the
end of December, there was a small flurry of insider buying at a
company called Harris & Harris Group (TINY).

Based in New York, Harris & Harris is a sort of venture capital
fund that puts money into small, private companies that are
working on nanotech breakthroughs. By following the insiders and
buying shares of Harris & Harris, you’d be getting a diversified
portfolio of potential winners in the nanotech field. To be
sure, the Harris & Harris insider buying has been relatively
light - only $111,000 since last summer.

But Harris & Harris still looks promising. In the past two weeks
alone, it has:

* Invested in the Durham, North Carolina-based Metabolon, a
company that is working on discovering biomarkers and measuring
biochemical changes and how they affect metabolic pathways as a
way to diagnose diseases early.

* Upped its investment in a company called Chlorogen which uses
a technology that alters tobacco plants in a way that coverts
them into little “factories” producing proteins that may one day
treat gynecological cancers.

* Upped its investment in NanoGram, a San Jose, CA, company
working on the application of nanotechnology in optical,
electronic, and energy products.

These are among more than two dozen investments that Harris &
Harris has going in the nanotech field.

Some concrete catalysts ahead?

If all this seems too esoteric, WR Hambrecht + Co. analyst John
Roy identifies two more concrete near-term catalysts that could
move the stock.

First, there’s a nanotech investing conference that will run
from January 30 to February 2. News and presentations could move
Harris & Harris shares.

Second, Roy expects a few nanotech initial public offerings
soon. If successful, they would shine a spotlight on Harris &
Harris - since it has investments in companies that may one day
go public, too.

“While the next nanotechnology IPOs may not be in Harris &
Harris’ portfolio, successful nanotech IPOs will likely reflect
well on the company,” believes Roy.

A wee bit of caution

To me, this is the kind of investment you put just a little
money into for the long-term - meaning several years. Despite
his enthusiasm for the stock, for example, Roy only has a $17
price target on it. The stock recently traded for $14.80
suggesting limited upside - though stocks in hot sectors are
known to blow through analysts’ price targets fast.

What’s more, in a recent letter to shareholders, Harris & Harris
said it may need to invest $200 million to $700 million over the
next five years to keep on top of the field. That’s a lot of
money for a company with limited revenue. So it may need to do a
dilutive financing.

The bottom line: Some major breakthroughs are going to come out
of this science of the small. But they could be a long time in
coming. I’d only put a nano-slice of my investment portfolio
into this stock as a way to play the developments.

The Benefit of External Frame Backpacks

Filed under: PR — admin @ 9:12 pm

External frame backpacks are used primarily for backpacking trips that will require all of the essential equipment to survive be brought with you. There are many great reasons to have an external frame backpack for a trip. This type of backpack consists of a visible metal frame that supports a nylon pack. The pack attaches to the wearer via two thickly padded should straps and a padded hip strap that goes around the waist.

The frame distributes the weight over the shoulders and the hips to alleviate the spine from too much pressure. The external frame does carry a high center of gravity that makes it a little harder to keep balanced during activities. This does limit a backpacker to activities that require minimal balance control like walking. Biking and skiing are not recommended while wearing an external frame backpack.

The advantages of external backpacks are mainly due to their versatility. They do also offer better ventilation for the dorsal area than most backpacks because the pack is somewhat suspended within the frame taking pressure off of the back. The frame can be used to tie or strap on extra equipment like tents or cooking utensils. This makes them a necessity for solo hikers and small groups that might require one person to carry the extra equipment.

External frame backpacks have become less popular in backpacking as gear has become more compact. Many tents and large gear fold down to manageable sizes that do not require the external frame to attach to. People’s activity demands are also a factor that has created lower demand for external frames. Adding jogging and biking to a backpacking trip makes a smaller internal frame the better choice because of its lower center of gravity. Travel constraints also make it hard to lug the larger packs of trains and planes, especially for those traveling to Europe. The traditional backpacker will always have the external frame, but technology is slowly phasing out the need for one.

Apples of Love

Filed under: Cookery — admin @ 12:58 pm

If the Spanish conquistadors had known what they were onto when they brought tomatoes to the old world in the sixteenth century, they wouldn’t have spent the rest of their careers searching for gold, because they had already found it. If any of them had any prescience at all, they would have simply opened a canning facility somewhere in the vicinity of Mount Vesuvius, and begun mining the gold that became known as pomodri ‘golden apples’.

By the time southern Italians began manufacturing pasta asciuta ’semolina pasta’ in the late eighteenth century, inovative chefs had already invented dozens of preparations for tomatoes (also referred to pmi d’amore ‘apples of love’). So when tomato sauce was introduced to pasta, it was indeed love at first sight. Pasta alla marinara was love at first sight for me, anyway.

But due to restrictions imposed by Mother Nature, we here in America can enjoy fresh, vine-ripened plum tomatoes for only about three months of the year. The rest of the time, we depend on the canned variety.

Of those tomatoes that find their way into cans, foodies and gourmets acknowledge those that come from the region of San Marzano to be the finest. There’s a lot of talk about the volcanic soil of Calabria; the intensity of the sun in the region; even the name God works its way into the conversation from time to time. Nevertheless, the Italian government has taken the region seriously enough to give the local growers a D.O.C. (Denominazione d’Originata Controllata, or Government Certification).

But there’s a knock-off artist lurking around every Cypress tree, and it wasn’t too long before canned tomatoes labeled tipo di San Marzano, ‘San Marzano-style’ began appearing at Italian delis. The latest craze in the tomato game, is taking the seeds from San Marzano tomatoes, and growing them elsewhere in the world. I’m aware of a California grower who’s doing well by marketing his tomatoes as having been grown from “San Marzano tomato seeds.”

It is encouraging, though, that for the past several years, American growers have begun competing favorably against their Calabrian bretheren. Muir Glen, in Petaluma, CA., for example, grows wonderful organic tomatoes that are readily available at your local grocery super-store.

But there’s a problem that crops up with canned tomatoes, especially if they come in unlined cans: they taste “canned.” Tomatoes, being acid as they are, often interact with the metal, and absorb some of the metallic taste.

My Sicilian grandmother (and I’m sure her peers as well) solved this problem by adding grated carrot to her marinara sauce. I’ve seen some validation of this technique in recipes from Mario Batali, and recently, from Pino Luongo in his cookbook, “Simply Tuscan.” In fact, Mr. Luongo goes so far as to include a stalk of celery too.

Here in Connecticut, we’re probably two and a half months away from picking the first plum tomato. But wouldn’t it be great to go to a farmer’s market, and see that someone there is selling plum tomatoes grown from San Marzano seeds.

And here is the most requested recipe from the archives of my first Web site, www.northend.com; my grandmother’s tomato sauce. (reprinted from my first cookbook, La Cucina dei Poveri). Buon appetito.

Salsa di Pomodoro
My Grandmother’s Tomato Sauce

Ingredients:

Olive Oil
4 Cloves garlic, peeled, and thinly sliced
2 28 oz. Cans peeled tomatoes (preferably San Marzano)
1 Small carrot, finely shredded
1/2 tsp. Red pepper flakes
2 Tbs. Fresh oregano, finely chopped
2 Tbs. Fresh basil, finely chopped
1/4 Cup Flat leaf Italian parsley, finely chopped
Salt & freshly ground black pepper

Preparation:

Heat a large sauté pan over medium heat, then add enough olive oil to coat the bottom of the pan. Add the garlic, and sauté, shaking the pan for about one minute, until the garlic begins to give up its aroma.

Remove the pan from the heat and add the tomatoes. Return the pan to the heat and begin to break the tomatoes with either the back of a fork, or a wooden spoon. Lower the heat to medium-low and simmer the tomatoes to evaporate some of the liquid, then add the carrot, the red pepper flakes and the oregano.

Simmer gently for about twenty minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the clear liquid from the tomatoes has evaporated. Add the parsley and season with salt and pepper.

Makes approximately 1 1/2 Quarts

Soccer Team Strategies With the 3-4-3 System of Positional Set Up

Filed under: Hall Of Sports — admin @ 4:50 am

3-4-3,

Defense;
3, defenders,

These three are very confident that they can handle a lone striker or two forwards. They are also reliant on a good defensive midfield.

On the attack these players will play wide positions. On the defense these players will be more compact and allow the outside midfields to aid in the wider positions.

At times the inside mid-fielders will “show” for the ball. This creates an additional attack from the centre of the pitch as the mid-fielders become out-let players.

They are trying to convert the play by maintaining possession.

When there are only 4 midfielders the attitude is to feed the 3 strikers with the long ball from the back.

Midfield

4, mid-fielders are usually arranged as outside left, inside left, inside right and outside right.

The outside players are called, wingers or flank players and are also involved in striking the goal.

This would make this line up have a possibility of 4 strikers at any given time.

These wingers usually have the bulk of the running to do as they could carry the ball from the defending third and into the attacking third.

This also depends on the team strategy as outlined by the coaching staff.

The two inside mid-fielders are supposed to be the “play makers”.

These are the individuals who are responsible for carrying out the plans the coach and players have designed and used as the methods of attack and goal scoring.

These positions have traditionally played these roles. However nowadays the play making comes from anyone and sometimes all the players at any given time.

These inside players have also been more defensive in their general on field play.

This defensive idea is to stop the opposition from creating attacking options.

They will then gain possession of the ball and and mount an immediate attack through their play making abilities.

Forwards

3, forwards,This is the first time in any formations that we discuss the possibility of three strikers.

This is a team who definitely has goal scoring in mind first.

They want to put pressure on their opponents by having a greater numerical advantage while attacking.

This team also forces the opposition to become more defensive. This is a tactical of aggression from this team.

The Best Time To Take Nutrition Supplements

Filed under: Medical Parlor — admin @ 4:22 am

Out of the hundreds of emails I get each week, more than half
are from people who are interested in knowing which supplements
to take or what the best way is to take the supplements they’re
currently using.

So this article will show you when to take some of the top
supplements and how to get the most out of them.

Creatine, glutamine, and protein are 3 of the top supplements
for gaining lean muscle and strength. But what are the best
times to take these proven supplements?

Here’s what I’ve found personally works best for me as well as
tracking clients progress using these 3 supplements (which, by
the way, are about the only 3 I recommend to clients, other than
protein/meal replacements, EFA’s and a good multi-vitamin).

There’s a lot of conflicting research that shows creatine and
glutamine may compete directly with one another for cell
transport and absorption.

That’s because both creatine and glutamine use the same
transport method (sodium) to be absorbed by the body, so there’s
a chance that one will get absorbed more than the other.

Even though there are different theories as to whether this is
true or not, here’s my thought: By-pass the entire problem by
just splitting up the timing a little bit.

Here are the best times to take these 3 proven supplements:

——– Creatine ——–

Best taken 1/2 hour or so BEFORE a workout and again RIGHT after
a workout.

What I do is take a creatine/juice/protein drink about a half
hour before a workout and than another shake right after.

This “bracketing” technique helps set up an anabolic
(muscle-building) state for your muscles and helps prevent
muscle breakdown from a workout (catabolism).

Other than these 2 opportune times, you can add another creatine
serving or two any time throughout the day.

I usually recommend 25 to 30 grams of creatine on a loading
phase and 10-20 grams a day on a maintenance phase.

——— Glutamine ———

Definitely take glutamine right before bed.

This is where the overwhelming research shows the value of
glutamine raising Growth Hormone levels significantly by taking
5 grams before bed.

Also, another great time is upon waking, when your muscles have
been without significant nutrition for up to 6-8 hours.

Another good time for glutamine is about a half hour or hour
after working out.

This helps in the recovery/recuperation process from demanding
workouts.

So, creatine definitely before and after your workout and
glutamine right before bed and right upon waking.

——- Protein ——-

The best times to take ANY protein drink or protein supplements
are as follows.

I’ve listed them in order of importance, so based upon your
affordability, start at the top of the list and work down.

1. Most important time—right after a workout.

Your muscles are like a sponge and need instant nutrition for
muscle recovery and growth.

2. Right before bed.

You’re about to sleep for 6 to 8 hours. That’s a long time
without protein.

Could you imagine going throughout your day (when awake) not
eating 6 to 8 hours?

Right before bed is important.

3. Right upon waking.

Same thing, you’ve just gone 6 to 8 hours without proper
nutrition. Your body needs protein quick.

4. Half hour before a workout.

This sets up the “anabolic window” before your workout and
provides your muscles with adequate nutrition so that the
effects of weight training (weight training breaks down
muscle–called catabolic)are not as severe.

These are the best times for protein. It can be regular whole
food or protein supplements, again, based on your affordability.

Protein supplements may be better than whole food in these times
because its digested quicker. But start at the top and work down.

If you can afford 4 servings, you’ll really notice the
difference in muscle gains and fat loss.

I hope this article helped shed some light on when to take the 3
most important supplements for gaining mass and strength:

Protein, creatine, and glutamine.

Building A List - What’s It Worth To You?

Filed under: Techies World — admin @ 3:23 am

The internet seems to be full of hyped up business opportunities. What evidence there is to support the feasibility of a business opportunity is often anecdotal - or we may be asked to take the word of a well known internet guru when he tells us that this is the “next big thing”. Sometimes he/she will be right of course (that’s how they get to be gurus).

And make no mistake about it - we are equally to blame for this hyped up culture. Let’s face it, it’s so much easier to read or listen to a well presented collection of projected possibilities than it is to do even a little spade work and unearth a few hard facts.

In the first place, we can all be a little lazy. In the second place, it’s nice to close our eyes and dream of the ongoing passive income - such a nice visual picture isn’t it?

And finally, hard facts can be a little bit difficult to come by. Sometimes for genuine reasons - startups often don’t have much more than the reputation of the key players and a business plan - and sometimes for more worrying reasons.

One of the enduring mantras which you will almost certainly have heard is that “the money’s in the list”. All the key players not only say this but appear to demonstrate it by the simple fact that they all own and operate large opt-in lists. It would seem reasonable to assume that these list make a significant contribution to their profits.

But let’s see if we can put a little flesh on the bones. First of all we have an assertion - sourced from www.ultimatefour.com - which is as follows:

“…… a well run list can generate $1/month in revenue for each contact on your list.”

It does seem reasonable, but it is still an assertion rather than a fact - and it is qualified by both “a well run list” and “can generate”. Even if it isn’t a hard and fast rule, it certainly provides food for thought.

If you build your list up to 3,000 to 5,000 members then you will have a nice income each month. Get to 10,000 members and above and you will be doing very well indeed.

That may sound like a lot to many people - but it should be achievable. Which brings us to what can be considered to be a hard fact - sourced this time from AWeber.

“12,561 subscribers in an average customer opt-in newsletter list.”

Presumably this is based on AWeber’s own user base - but it seems valid to accept this as a legitimate fact.

The implication would seem to be that if you can build your own opt-in list to an “average£ level that you can profit to the tune of $12,561 each month. The assumptions are that you will run your list well (by providing constant updates and interesting information to your subscribers) and that you will make $1/month per subscriber.

Even if the $1/month figure is wrong - or if you run your list a little less efficiently than normal - you might still reasonably expect to make a 4 figure sum each month.

So it’s true - the money is in the list. How much depends on the size of the list and how well you run it - but the money is there.

One key thing to watch out for is that your list should be your list - the email addresses must be yours and not the property of whichever company your working with. That way you can promote as many different products and services as you like.

Of course, it takes time and effort to build your list - but it can be done. You can pick up half a dozen new subscribers every day very easily by using nothing other than free techniques. That would take you to over $2000 a month in less than a year. Consider using some paid advertising and your list will grow at a much faster rate - and so will your income.

Whichever method(s) you elect to use in order to build your list - the sooner you start the sooner you’ll start earning. So get cracking.
